Hartford Area Roller Derby’s New Skater Bootcamp is a 8 week course dedicated to teaching people how to skate and play roller derby.

In this class, you will learn basic skate skills including how to stop, how to turn, skate with crossovers, and how to fall safely, as well as all the rules of how the game works!

Never skated before? That's okay! We will teach you. We will even loan you gear and skates for a while until you decide if this is the sport for you!

Our New Skater Bootcamp meets twice a week, once on Sundays full on skates practice and once on Wednesdays hybrid rules, Non Skating Officiating and skating practice.  At the end of the 8 weeks, you will have the chance to become a full member of HARD as either a skater or referee.
